EPL Mobile App Reviews

I love the EPL and their websites capabilities. This app is a poor substitute, many of the features available on the website are missing and the app itself is very buggy as it does not automatically refresh and requires a restart each time to view account related info since it freezes that page upon exit from the app. It is so bad that I have gone back to using the website directly.

So awesome. Love our local library.

Only suggestion for this app to have more specific and apparent genres associated with everything. The Search option would improve if it was more customizable (browse categories like genres or user ratings) People should be encouraged to rate borrowed materials more and previewing available material on here should present more/better information to the user.

I wish that the library card could be synced to Passbook. I know that its in the app, but I like for all my cards to be in one place. It seems like something that would be good for Passbook.

I love this app. I use it all the time. One thing that might be good would be if the app would show notifications on the icon (like facebook, email, pinterest) when items are due back or holds are ready for pick up.

Great app. I would give it 4.5 if I could. I use this app all the time. I love the shelf feature, but once I have something on the "in progress" shelf, I cant move it. Always says it moved successfully but it never does. Adding your card to pass book would be an amazing future feature as well. All in all, a must have app for anyone with an EPL library card.

It works perfectly fine on my iPod touch, just a little slow on loading. All in all, a must have for any library lover.

EPL is the best public library in Canada and this app is no exception.

I love having this app, the only problem is that lately, when trying to go to "my epl" the app always crashes. Just wanted to point out that bug, is all.

Impressive iPhone app that allows you to check your Edmonton Public Library account on the go... and lots more! I could browse the catalog, look at brand new items, check my holds list, find a branch near me, see if I had a book coming due, if I owed any fines, and even see my library cards barcode! If I forget my card at home, it will be so handy to just scan my iPhones screen at the checkouts. When Im taking the LRT to Century Park, I can pass the time browsing for new books, movies, and music. This app has so many features, and it works like a charm. I cant imagine NOT having it on my phone! EPL has also installed a cool new library vending machine at Century Park LRT as well. I wonder if it can scan my barcode from this app? I cant wait to try!
