Great app for accessing you library account - search catalogue, renew, place holds. Luv it!

I agree with below regarding Notifications. Its a great feature of apps that just makes sense for EPL to have. Also, maybe Im just overtired but I cant seem to find how to access the For Later list, now that Ive added about 20 things to it. :(

Like that I can renew my books and put books on hold from my phone. Its a little slow at loading, and the barcode doesnt scan so I still need to use my card to check out.

I love this app!! Just found it and Im so pleased with how easy it is to use! I love that when to touch a branch location, it shows you a photo of the branch, gives you its hours and contact info!!!

where is the for later list? loading is too slow, and bar code doesnt work. other than that its good

I was thinking maybe you guys could add a push-notification feature where a few days before an item is due, we receive a notification on our iPhones reminding us about the due date. I would really appreciate that feature. Otherwise, this is a great app!

I use this app more than I expected. Its a great complement to the best $12 I ever spent—my library card. I can search and hold books on a whim and the library obtains them for me to come pick up at my local branch. Thank you.

Consistent with the EPLs highly functional web site, this portable app does the vast majority of things you would hope: check on overdue books and holds, search for items, place holds, check branch hours, get directions to a branch, and even use your portable device in place of your card (I have not tried that one yet). WAY TO GO EPL!

Good app for looking at books but there are difficulties. No Internet access? Wont even launch and doesnt tell you why, it just quits. Using an iPod Touch (or I ASSume a wifi iPad) is difficult. Launch EPL Mobile at EPL and it quits until you launch safari to get to the EPL wifi website. Oh yes, do you remember your EPL member number? Better because this program is too STUPID to remember it for you. No option to remember it, but you can put it in your address book, copy it then paste it into the SUPER TINY LITTLE login screen. Too STUPID on an iPod Touch (and I ASSume an iPhone) but probably okay on an iPad. Have tried with mine and a friends iPod touch (4th gen 64GB) and it can NOT use the bar code to scan with. Oh, to GET to the bar code you have to be logged into the Internet, or at least I did. Want to find an EPL branch? Have to be connected to the Internet to do so! What? WHY? STUPID STUPID STOOPID IDIOT DEVELOPERS!!!!! If Im out on the road with NO wifi, I cant look up a close library. STUPID! The library functions of this app are good. Find a book, Reserve it and even renew it. Great stuff. The above stuff makes this a crappy app to use AT the library but works pretty good when you are away from the library. Its free so no loss but it can be a PITA to use. Hopefully it can be improved to remove the Internet dependency or at least tell you that it is needed.

It does what its supposed to! It has a very smooth UI.

Since the iOS 5 update this app crashes when I select "My EPL" and try to log in with the username/barcode + PIN. I speculate that it may not be able to handle the special characters in my PIN which bibliocommons allowed. That would certainly be typical of poor engineering, and a remote code exploit waiting to happen.

Generally a good app, except for the fact that it takes super long to see holds, fines, and checked out.

good app. lets you do almost everything you can do from a laptop.

It has been seizing up on my iPhone and you cant view a titles availability details. I like the web version where you can see youre 4 out of 19 holds, but this isnt in the app. Overall this is a good app with some minor glitches.

Love this app! I would just love to view the due dates when checking an items availability details like you can see online! :)

Now we just need an iPad version.

I really like this app, but it would be nice if it could sent a notification when a book is due. That would be really helpful and get 5 stars. Thanks

I really like this app, it gives an instant list of books to round up before heading out the door and tells me when they are due. The addition of a badging feature for due or overdue books would be great. Ok two updates - adding another account, ie a childs would be helpful.
